Studio Letters
Join me in the studio for new paintings, stories behind the work, works in progress, and first access to available originals. I write about once or twice a month.
A moody still life of peonies gathered in a warm earthenware vase.
I painted this during a moment when I finally felt that quiet pull back to the studio again. It isn’t about perfection—it’s about something real. Softened edges, deep shadow, and layered pinks and wine tones allow the blooms to emerge gently from the darkness.
This piece carries that sense of stillness and return. It has an old-world, collected feel and pairs beautifully with antique gold, dark wood, or blue-and-white ceramics.
